Abstract This article attributes a manuscript in the collection of KB , National Library Netherlands, to Willem Silvius (c. 1520–1580), an Antwerp printer and former writing master. The carries title Variarum Scripturarum Exempla contains 44 samples eight different languages. It probably served as Silvius’ personal writing-book, which he used attract customers when was working master Louvain. In 1562 intended publish first printed exemplar-book Low Countries contained models for languages settings. Although this publication never materialised, writing-book is testimonial life achievements one most significant printers sixteenth century Antwerp.
